Can New Timber Spaces manage the whole project?

Do I need planning permission?
Not always. Many timber buildings can be completed under permitted development rights, depending on their size, location and intended use. We’ll assess this with you at an early stage and, where planning permission is required, we can explain the process and manage the application on your behalf.
Do you install foundations?
Yes. The right foundation system depends on the building, the site and the ground conditions, so we’ll advise on the most appropriate solution following a site visit. Ground screws are often an excellent option, offering a fast, precise and relatively low-impact alternative to traditional concrete foundations.
Can I use the building all year round?
Absolutely. Our buildings are designed to be comfortable throughout the seasons, with high-quality insulation and the option to incorporate heating, air conditioning or both. The result is a space that feels like a genuine extension of your home rather than simply a garden building.
Can I customise the design?
Yes. Every New Timber Spaces project is individually designed around the client, the site and the way the space will be used. Do you install electrics, internet and smart technology?
Yes. We can incorporate electrical installations, lighting, data and internet connectivity, along with a wide range of smart-home technology. All relevant work is carried out and certified by appropriately qualified professionals, giving you a finished space that is ready to use from day one.
Can you include bathrooms, kitchens or sleeping accommodation?
Yes. Depending on the building, its intended use and any planning or Building Regulations requirements, we can incorporate bathrooms, kitchens, utility areas and sleeping accommodation. We’ll advise you on what is practical and appropriate for your particular project.
Do you only build garden rooms?
